Radio equipment is regulated. Anyone can listen, but transmitting is only legal on frequencies and services you are licensed and authorized to use. By ordering from Rainworks, you agree to:
- Transmit only within the privileges of your license (for example, Technician, General or Extra in the amateur service).
- Not transmit on public-safety, aviation, marine, military, business or other services you are not authorized for, and not use GMRS, FRS or MURS frequencies except with equipment and licensing that permit it.
- Identify your station as required and avoid causing interference.
Programming
We program amateur frequencies and repeaters appropriate to your order. We do not program, unlock or modify radios to transmit outside the services they are certified for.
Emergency use
No radio can guarantee communication. Range and reliability depend on terrain, conditions, repeaters and practice. Use your equipment regularly and keep a written plan.
